    Item was tested using one AA size battery in the attached black battery holder that is visible in the photos. Playback and recording was
    tested and item works fine, sound quality is very good from this model.
    If you want to use it with an internal battery instead of the attached battery holder, it had a leak from the old battery which I cleaned enough to make contact so now it does work with internal battery too, but you will need to buy the type of flat internal battery for this model on ebay. The other mz-n1 players I have listed don't have any leaks so please buy one of those if you are concerned about it.
