This is a vintage script reproduction I’ve had in my collection for nearly 20 years.
The cover is dark green and interior pages are light green.
The script was written by Art Wallace and is marked Final and dated July 2, 1974 on the cover.
This was the first episode aired and the third one filmed. In this script, PETE BURKE was named ED ROWAK.
The astronauts crash, surprising a chimp and his dog. They are briefly befriended by a human named Arno before being captured by the apes who rule this world. A curious chimp named Galen saves them from being killed in a staged escape, putting his own life in jeopardy. Our heroes must rescue Galen and stay one step ahead of the apes.
