    Description

    Antique sewing cabinet made of wood with 6 drawers and two doors which behind are storage areas. It can be hung on wall or it can sit on a shelf/counter.  It has 3 wooden knob feet. This is an interesting sewing box!  It has 6 drawers, each marked so that you know exactly what is in each; TACKS-NAILS/LABELS/RUBBER BANDS/SCOTCH TAPE/PAPER CLIPS/CHANGE.   The CHANGE drawer is locked by a spool peg inside the SEWING CIRCLE door.  It is a secret hiding place because unless you know how to open it, you can't!!  Please see photos that will show the peg that locks the drawer. On each side of the drawers is a storage area.  The left side door is marked SEWING CIRCLE and inside can be stored spools of thread, etc.  The right side door is marked TOOL CHEST and this is where you can store scissors, etc in slots provided.  This chest is all original except for one replacement knob on the CHANGE drawer.  Five drawers are approximately 1 1/4 in deep.  The CHANGE drawer is deeper.  The hinged doors are original to the box, and are of different colored wood.
